The Department of Science
and Technology (DOST) has reportedly given graduate scholarship grants to 323
qualifiers for its Accelerated Science and Technology Human Resources
Development Program (ASTHRDP) and Engineering Research and Development for
Technology (ERDT), June 24, 2011.
Apparently, the new
scholars will pursue graduate studies in different various priority science and
technology areas.
Similar reports reveal that the graduate scholars shall be entitled to enjoy such privileges as tuition and other school fees, monthly stipend, book allowance, transportation allowance for those who will be studying outside their home province, group insurance and thesis/dissertation fund.
After graduation, the scholars are
required and expected to serve in the country for the number of years they
enjoyed the scholarship, particularly in research and development activities.
DOST through the Science Education
Institute announces the names of the scholarship qualifiers for SY 2011-2012.
